about

A song about abandoned diamond mines, Namibia and horses. After we chose the name 'The Lost Cavalry' we typed it in to Google and the only thing that matched was an old article from The Independent about horses who were taken down to Namibia during the South African war for use by the German Cavalry. They never saw any battle and were just abandoned after the war ended. They turned feral and still live out there in the desert among the sand dunes and deserted mining villages.
